Commission on Aging Postition For Beaver Island

Post by Gillespie »

Nancy Tristch has left (retired) her position on the Commission on Aging. Candidates are being sought for representation for Beaver Island. This gives the island presence for important decisions regarding senior citizen issues and the Island should have a strong representative. Please send me a private message or most of you know how to get ahold of me if you are interested. The appointment will be made soon so please contact myself or contact the COA office in Charlevoix, thank you!! Rich Gillespie

The Beaver Island Representative position becoming available due to Nancy Tritsch's retirement is on the Charlevoix County Commission on Aging's Advisory Board. This Board researches, evaluates and ultimately advises our Charlevoix County Commissioners on Senior issues within our County.

Several people have inquired as to whether this is a paid position. According to the bylaws, there is a per diem for meetings attendance.
Section 6 - Compensation.
Members of the Commission on Aging Board shall receive compensation for attending board meetings as provided by the Charlevoix County Per Diem Schedule.
