WEST SHORE finds a new home
The M/V West Shore, sister ship to the mighty SOUTH SHORE, has found a new home in the Straits of Mackinac. Star Line Ferry has purchased her from Bay City Boat Lines, where plans were made to run her on tours of the Saginaw River along side her other sister ship, the former Wm Miller. Plans fell through and Star Line has purchased her and will operate her as a freight/horse/passenger boat - running from ice to ice. She will be renamed ANNA MAY. She arrived in St. Ignace about 330PM today. WEST SHORE was owned by Martin for a short while. While on Beaver Island, she was reunited with her sister SOUTH SHORE, in Bay City, her sister Wm MILLER, and now in St. Ignace, her sister PUT-IN-BAY, now the SACRE BLEU of Shepler's - which she herself has made runs to Beaver Island carrying large vehicles before the Emerald Isle arrived. Small world for these boats![/img]
