Veteran's Discount Program

Post by I'm Just The Messenger »

From the Petoskey News Review......

In an effort to acknowledge the sacrifices of the U.S. military veterans, Randi Hunter, general manager of AmericInn and U.S. Navy veteran, invites the business owners of Charlevoix and Emmet County to join in the Northwest Michigan Veterans Discount Program.

Hunter said the program will enable veterans in Charlevoix and Emmet counties to receive a discount from area business owners. She said the program will work in conjunction with Charlevoix and Emmett County Veterans Affairs offices where veterans can register their DD214 form and receive a veteran picture identification. The picture ID card can then be presented to participating merchants who will then honor the cardholders by providing a discount on purchases and services. Registered veterans will then be provided with a list of participating merchants.

Business owners or managers who wish to register for the program may contact Hunter at (231) 237-0988 or via email at Charlevoix.mi@americinn.com. To be included in the November email blast, businesses must be registered by Nov. 1.

Veteran's Discount

Beaver Island News on the 'Net is happy to report that it is also participating in this discount program as well as publishing an article about this wonderful program. A veteran owner or a veteran manager of a business will receive a 25% discount for any business advertisement and subscription and any individual will receive a 25% discount on the individual subscription. A copy of the veteran 's registration card is all that is needed to receive the 25% as a refund.

There are several businesses in Charlevoix and Emmett counties that are currently participating and there is hope that others will join in to show appreciation for those who have served.

The BINN refund is in addition to the "in your name" contribution to the Beaver Island Food Pantry.

Island Airways is already a participating business to the discount program.

BINN challenges other Beaver Island businesses to call Randi Hunter and agree to participate by giving veterans with a registration card a discount for their purchases or the services offered.
