I downloaded and checked out the user guide for this unit. It does NOT give you internet access unless you have a current AT&T cellphone service plan, and you are in an AT&T cell phone "service area".
This device connects to the cellphone service, and makes a wifi hotspot for your computer or ipad to connect to the internet.

So, it would only work here on island if you have cellphone service through AT&T that also works.

A great idea, but would only work in areas where your cell phone works.
