Who is this Gaelic teacher?

OBJECTIVE: Spread my love of the Irish language. I am a 20 year old university student
hoping to spend my summer teaching the Irish language, the history of the
language and conversational Irish. I am well-traveled in Ireland and the
U. S. I would like to use my knowledge of the Irish language so others
can understand and enjoy itâ??s beauty as much as I do. I would like to teach
group or individual lessons in the Irish language; lead â??conversational
eveningsâ?￾ for speakers of all levels; or give lectures on the history of the
language. I believe I could utilize my unique talents and enthusiasms for
everyoneâ??s mutual enjoyment and enlightenment.
EXPERIENCE:
1997-2002 Summers Arranmore Island, Donegal
Attended Gaelic College on Arranmore Island each summer. This is the
government-run , total immersion language program for the Irish students.

2002-2004 Summers Arranmore Island, Donegal
Performed as a Ceanaire, a junior teacher, at the Gaelic College on
Arranmore Island.

2004-2005 Galway
Attending University College, Galway; majoring in Irish language.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Involved in a radio program in Irish about Gaeltacht life
Written articles in Irish for the school newspaper
Member of Cumann Dramaiachta â??Irish drama society; we put on plays in
Irish and organize trips to various Gaeltacht areas throughout Ireland;
Member of Cumann Eigse â?? Irish folklore society
Student representative for the Irish class
Present a show in Irish on the college radio station on local and alternative
music.
Currently running for Oifigeach na Gaeilge

Gaelic on Beaver this July

Gaelic, anyone? Matthew Hall, a young Irishman just finishing his undergraduate work, a man whose mother was part of the Arran More contingent that came here to initiate the two-step Twinning, has let it be known that as part of his American summer he would spend much time on Beaver Island this July...

The Beaver Island Historical Society deeply regrets the inconvenience being caused by mistakes made in reserving the Parish Hall for Museum Week. For those who can only come to the Island on the week after July 11 - 16, we are considering adding additional programs before the Celtic Games, still set...
