WANTED Doggie Stepping Stairs

Looking for a small set of stairs so my small dog can comfortably get up on the bed. I'd be willing to repair them and pay.

Thanks!

WANTED Doggie Stepping Stairs

Hello Community,

I'm wondering if anyone has a small set of say, 3 stairs that I could use for my small dog to comfortably get up on the bed. I'd be willing to pay/carpet them.

Thanks!

Beaver Island, Come for the serenity, stay for the community

Beaver Island,
Come for the serenity, stay for the community.

Yesterday was one of those days where nothing seemed to go quite right. My car battery was dead, I hit a deer causing it to suffer before her untimely death, and a big tree branch fell into my yard during a strong bout of wind.

That being said, I was not feeling so hot. I just moved here a month ago and as isolation is, isolation does. On rough days the distance between our little community and â??civilizationâ?￾ becomes far more noticeable; the cold wind penetrates the warmest of down jackets.

However, this bad day of mine became better upon reflection. I was traumatized when I broke the poor deerâ??s legs. But after being blindsided by guilt, I realized just how lucky I am to be a part of this community.

I found a woman on the side of the road, talking on her phone. I let her finish the conversation she was having with her loved one, and then pleaded for help. The deer was seriously injured and needed to be put down. Being new to the island, I had no hunters in my contacts. She called in John Works, the sweetest farmer one could meetâ??and his friend a fellow hunter. They were on the scene within 15 minutes, and helped a panicked woman end the misery of a living creature. I received many hugs from Sara and her wise mother after they took me into their warm car out of the spitting rain.

I drove home, to the tree in my yard. My neighbor Phil, happened to be outside and asked if I needed help. I just wanted to borrow an axe, but he insisted on chopping it up real quickly with his chainsaw. Before the accident, a fellow had volunteered his time to jump my car before I went to work.

In but a span of 5 hours, more than 6 people had selflessly helped a newcomer at no personal gain. This communityâ??s resilience and generosity are its most valuable assets. Beaver is often thought of as a place for wealthy retirees to spend their summer. Yesterday I discovered the true Beaver Island that no boodle or airport tour can give. Without the strength of her community, the island would be desolate.

You have such a beautiful way of life, thank you for inviting me into your community.
