In honor of Jack Gallagher, a fellow AMVETS Post 46 member and veteran of the US Army flags at the Veterans Memorial Park will be at ½ staff Friday through Monday of this week.

Thanks to Alvin Lafreniere and Pete Lodico for handling the flags during this winter season.

The at flags the Veterans Memorial Park will be at ½ staff in honor of Richard Elms, retired United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant who recently passed away. The flags will remain at ½ staff until Monday.

Veterans Day will be observed at the Beaver Island Community School Monday November 11th at 11:00 AM. Please join AMVETS Post 46 and the students in the school auditorium for the event.

The flags at the Veterans Memorial will be a 1/2 staff in honor of our fellow veteran Anthony Green. They will remain at 1/2 staff thru Monday.

What a real gentleman. Tony donated his time and materials for the flagpole lighting at the Veterans Park and was always interested in offering his help. Good man, he will be missed.

Someone left a "Beaver Island" hooded jacket, size large, at the AMVETS breakfast Sunday morning. It will be at the community center.

There will be order forms at the AMVETS breakfast Sunday morning for bricks. This is the last order we will make until next spring.
