Tin Foil Hats

AEW, Take off yer tin foil hat immediately. This has been exhaustively studied by independent researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and their research indicated that wearing a hat of aluminum or other metal foil amplifies radio frequencies in the cranium. I kid you not. See: http:...

Grape Island

Jeff,

Really cool chart. Thanks.

And what is this streaking nonsense, anyhow? It wasn't poison oak on our tootsies that made bare skin on Garden Island hazardous the last time I was there. It was ravenous mosquitos. Perish the thought of running nekkid through a cloud of them.

Last year we popped ov...

Who made the new trail signs?

My family and I enjoyed hiking on the south side of the island this year, thanks to signs and marked trees. Please see: http://www.evanmpeterson.com/emp_thoughts.html I thought the differentiation between where machines and hikers were welcome was smart for all concerned, given the risks of getting ...

Hog and High Island

Don, The water between Hog and Garden Island is shallow - the bottom comes up fast in places. As for exploring Hog Island itself, see: http://www.evanmpeterson.com/emp_thoughts4.html As for High Island, it often features unbroken fields of hip-deep poison oak. I was there a couple of weeks ago and t...
