The hardware store has silver paint in small jars of fluid acrylic. In the small jars of oil, it's called "chrome" and is a little more garish. but also available.

This was purchased by my Aunt Katie in 2013, new, for over $2000.00. It's like a very good quality hospital bed. Because she spent so much time in the hospital after that, it was barely used. My sister is simply replacing it with a queen sized bed. Comes with a full sized mattress.
