My opinion is you should bring it. Miles and miles of back hidden roads to ride on. Is it register in Michigan? Or another state? Really I dont think it matters as long as its street legal. I think you will have alot of fun on it.

If you want to drive something that is less exspensive to operate. Look into motorcycles or mopeds. There are a lot that are street legal and good for trails too. They are called enduros. Made for both dirt and street. I think something like that would be perfect for the island. And they are a blast...
